The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
